In a lawsuit filed Thursday in Will County, Josh Fazio says Deputy Chief Ken Kaupas in 2012 told him to crack the pass code on Kaupas’ wife’s computer to investigate “whether she was cheating on (Kaupas).” When Fazio asked his superior, Sgt. Dan Troike, about it, Troike told him to do as he was asked. “I can’t imagine in what universe that is legitimate police work,” said Michael Booher, Fazio’s attorney.
