PAN-European Critical Infrastructure Protection Exercise 2010

Per Dr. Vangelis Ouzounis, program manager of the CIIP program at ENISA, he is organizing a planned exercise to involve 21 member states to participate in a coordinated test of the response to a cyber security infrastructure event. The goal of this activity is to not only plan and highlight improvements of the response capability, but assure the public that there are reasonable steps being taken to address cyber security issues if they arise at the infrastructure level.  The first phase “dry run” of the program has been completed and they are now engaging to plan the actual exercise planned to be executed in November 2010.

ENISA is chartered to be the center of information sharing for Information Security in the European Union per parliament’s Regulation (EC) No 460/2004.
